| Description: | SMART Education Program Sponsored by the Department of Defense (DoD) The purpose is to promote the education, recruitment and retention of rising junior and senior undergraduate and graduate students in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering studies. Fellows will receive: • Room and Board • Full Tuition • Related education fees • Stipend or salary SMART Scholarships are awarded to applicants who are pursuing a degree in, or closely related to, one of the following SME disciplines: • Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering • Biosciences • Chemical Engineering • Chemistry • Civil Engineering • Cognitive, Neural, and Behavioral Sciences • Computer and Computational Sciences • Electrical Engineering • Geosciences • Materials Science and Engineering • Mathematics • Mechanical Engineering • Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering • Oceanography • Physics There is an employment obligation to DoD with this scholarship program.
