| Description: | The NSF Engineering Research Center for Mid-IR for Helath and the Environment is focused on providing students withe the opportunity to carry out research in the forefront of mid -IR spectroscopy and engineering. MIRTHE advances mid-IR turnable laser sources, quantum cascade lasers, dectors and ultra-sensitive sensor systems and demonstrating specific applications through test beds in environmental sensing, homeland security and mecical diagnostics. |
