| Description: | Students (Sophomore, Junior, Senior) with strong backgrounds in Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering are invited to apply for the 2007 Summer Undergraduate Research Program in Materials Science and Engineering, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, at The University of Alabama. For the ten-week program, participants will be provided a $4500 stipend plus housing. Successful applicants will be able to work with outstanding faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates in an interdisciplinary research environment. Students will gain familiarity with the most recent research techniques and equipment, including considerable hands-on experience, and will be exposed to the importance of transferring research to industrial application. |
