| Description: | • Engage in substantive research in the labs of faculty • Build networks with women science and engineering mentors and peers • Collaborate with talented faculty, science and engineering research professionals, graduate students, and advanced undergraduates • Increase your research and professional competence • Apply your knowledge This opportunity is for • Students majoring (or interested in graduate work) in any engineering, math or computer science discipline • Students who have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours of college coursework • Students enrolled at any college or university, including the University of Maryland • U.S. citizens and permanent residents CS Scholars will become an integral part of two team-based summer research projects. These innovative projects involve CS Scholars in the exploration of exciting issues to develop new knowledge with real world application in computer security. Teams will conduct research from May 27, 2008 through August 1, 2008. Each CS Scholar will receive a $4,000 stipend, $300 food allowance and housing. Some funds are available for transportation.
