| Description: | The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in "Biosphere-Atmosphere Interactions in a Changing Global Environment." The program introduces students to research in field biology and atmospheric science. It is funded by the National Science Foundation. Participants work closely with a faculty mentor as part of an on-going research project. They also design, conduct and analyze an research project of their own. The REU cohort participates in special workshops and regular discussions designed to provide the philosophical basis and technical tools needed to carry out scientific research. |
