| Description: | The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Iowa hosts a 10 week program for 8 students to research work in a range of subfields:medical physics, space physics, condensed matter, optics and photonics, space physics, high energy physics, plasma physics and astronomy. In addition to scientific research supervised by faculty, a range of seminars will be given, with a major component being a Scientific Communications Program emphasizing training and practice in written and oral communication. |
