| Description: | SOARS is an undergraduate-to-graduate bridge program for science, math, engineering, and social science students interested in understanding the atmosphere and using that understanding to improve life on Earth. The program is equal parts research internship, learning community, and mentoring program. SOARS offers comprehensive financial support for summer research, as well as undergraduate and graduate school funding for up to four years. SOARS is dedicated to increasing diversity in the atmospheric and related sciences by encouraging the participation of students from historically under-represented groups, including Black or African-American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Hispanic or Latino, female, and first-generation college students. |
