| Description: | Our REU site focuses on collaborative research on rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology. Students will be immersed in research and/or engineering-related projects at the Human Engineering Research Laboratories at the University of Pittsburgh/VA Medical Center Pittsburgh. Students will receive a stipend, room and board, and travel reimbursement. Students will conduct research during a 10-week summer program, present their findings at a final symposium and may have the opportunity to participate in research conferences during the following academic year. Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors with interests in many disciplines are eligible for this program. Women, minorities, and students with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications will be reviewed starting February 15, 2011. |
