| Description: | The REU program, funded through the National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates program, at JILA and the Department of Physics at the University of Colorado, gives undergraduates the opportunity to do cutting-edge research outside the classroom. Each student is placed in an active research group, which typically consists of a professor, postdocs, and graduate students. Students are given the opportunity to experience a real-life research environment and to contribute to ongoing research projects. |
