| Description: | Applications for a summer program centered on research in the School of Physics and Astronomy are solicited from juniors and seniors who may be interested in post- baccalaureate studies. The program is available to U.S. citizens and permanent residents (green card holders). Students are encouraged to create projects, and to present them at poster sessions. Faculty of the School supervise research activity, working with one or two students each. Possible fields of research include Biophysics, Elementary Particle Physics, Cosmology & Astrophysics, Physics Education, Condensed Matter Physics, and Space Physics. The School of Physics and Astronomy is particularly interested in receiving applications from women and from members of minority groups who are underrepresented in our fields. |
