| Description: | The REU program gives undergraduates the opportunity to do cutting-edge research outside the classroom. Each student will be placed in a separate research group, which typically includes a lead professor, postdocs, and graduate students. Depending on the groups, REU students will work on ongoing projects with oversight from members of the research group or be assigned a particular task. There are no formal classes; students are given the opportunity to experience a real-life research environment. |
