| Description: | In this 10-week research program, students select from a diverse set of research topics to conduct a short research project under the direction of a mentor in one of the National Weather Center or partner organizations. Students will prepare and present papers reporting the results of their research. Research is supplemented by workshops, tours, field trips, and lectures to produce a well-rounded experience that will give students the opportunity to judge whether a career in research is for them. Housing, travel allowance, professional conference travel allowance, and a stipend are provided. |
