| Description: | NCAR's High Altitude Observatory is now accepting applications for its postdoctoral program. HAO conducts research on the Sun's interior, atmosphere. and heliosphere; solar magnetism and variability; and the terrestrial impact of solar output. Radiative transfer, hydrodynamics, magnetohydrodynamics, radiation hydrodynamics, and plasma physics are pursued for both their fundamental physical interests and their applications in the above areas of research. Postdoctoral fellows will be expected to pursue research in collaboration with members of the scientific staff and other long-term visitors, and perhaps to continue research projects which have been initiated at the home institution. HAO postdoctoral positions are for one year with an opportunity to renew for a second year. Fellows should not be more than four years beyond the Ph.D. degree at the start of the appointment. |
