| Description: | Funding from the NASA Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD) allows the New York Space Grant Consortium to provide $5,500 stipends and $1,000 travel/relocation grants for 10-week summer internships at various NASA centers. Students will engage in projects that specifically address the ESMD goal of creating new capabilities and technologies for human and robotic space exploration. Design, engineering, and research opportunities are available in the following areas: spacecraft, propulsion, lunar and planetary surface systems, and ground operations. ELIGIBILITY: To receive NY Space Grant funding, a full-time student must (1) be a United States citizen, and (2) be a New York state resident or attend a New York college/university.
