Description: The Materials and Processes for Polymer-Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells REU program involves students in research related to new fuel cell materials development; new methods for materials processing that yield high performance fuel cell assemblies; new techniques and theories for materials characterization; new approaches for performance modeling that reveal the impact of materials and design on system performance.

Although funding from the program sponsor is pending, we anticipate funding for 10-12 undergraduate research positions in 2009.
