| Description: | Our REU site focuses on collaborative research on Ecology in Human-Dominated Landscapes. Students will be immersed in research projects that relate to society's impact on ecosystems. In addition to a stipend, housing, and travel reimbursement, each student will receive 12 tuition-free credits which are transferable to their home institution. Students will conduct field research during a 10-week summer program, present their findings at a final symposium and participate in web-based research presentations during the following academic year. The 11th week is a financially supported trip to the Ecology Society of America meeting. Undergraduates with interests in ecology and environmental science from any institution are eligible for this program; prior course work in ecology and/or the environmental sciences is recommended.
