| Description: | Our outreach program focuses on the topic of Electricity and Magnetism. It is geared towards elementary and middle school students, although we can adapt our presentation for homeschool groups. Aside from our outreach presentations, UCSB also has a Physics Circus, which does both science nights and shows for elementary and middle school students. The community science center (CSC) at UCSB (contact the physics department directly) is available for tours. SPS is willing to lead tours of the physics building, labs, and potentially the CSC. However, we would prefer at least a week's warning, preferably two, in order to have adequate time to make arrangements (particularly if a tour of the CSC is desired). |
