Outreach Group Detail Page
|Outreach Group:||University of North Carolina, Greensboro|
|Description:||Our primary activity is to conduct astronomy nights at the Three College Observatory and allow groups to look at the sky through our 32-inch telescope (which is located in the country at a dark-sky location).
We work extensively with all age groups, and are homeschool/family friendly. However, children younger than about 7 do not benefit from this activity very much.
Fall and spring are best, winter works well, summer (between late June and mid-September) is not very good because of summer weather.
There is no charge for educational groups, though we gratefully accept contributions.
