Einstein Light: Inertial frames and Newtonian mechanics - May 4, 2009

This sight gives a good explanation of non-inertial reference frames, and how seemingly fictitious forces, such as the Coriolis force and centrifugal force, can be observed in them.

SETI Institute - Apr 2, 2009

In honor of the International Year of Astronomy, we will be focusing on Astronomy in our features.  SETI is the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence.  There was a very interesting talk on SETI at the Sigma Pi Sigma Congress in November.  The site describes the projects and institutes associated with this search.

PhET Simulation: Fourier: Making Waves - Mar 2, 2009

This is a fun Java applet that lets the user play around with Fourier components.  You can individually adjust up to 11 Fourier coefficients to see the effect they have on the resulting function.

Sound Pitch - Jan 28, 2009

This is an interesting game that tests the accuracy of your hearing.  It plays a pitch and then asks you to reproduce the same pitch.  It also has information about sound and hearing.

LTU Physlet: Optics Model for a Far-Sighted Eye (with corrective lenses) - Dec 4, 2008

This is a good applet of what happens to the eye when it is farsighted.  Users can play around with object size and location, as well as the location of the external vision correction lens.

Special Relativity - Oct 28, 2008

This site is a good overview of special relativity, starting from postulates and working through the implications of said postulates, including the development of the Lorentz transformations.

Insultingly Stupid Movie Physics - Sep 18, 2008

Check out hilarious examples of bad movie physics!

Lightning Detection from Space: A Lightning Primer - May 27, 2008

This site provides an excellent introduction to the topic of lightning.  It covers the mechanism for the phenomenon, the different types, and some of the current research on the topic.

PhET Simulations: Lunar Lander - Apr 28, 2008

This is a lunar lander simulator.  Apart from being fun, it allows the user to get a feel for mechanics in low gravity.

Science Fiction Stories with Good Astronomy and Physics - Mar 25, 2008

This site lists different science fiction books with accurate physics in them.  A welcome change from the not-so-good physics sometimes found in science fiction.
