Students present their research at the 2007 Zone meeting at GCC (don't believe the date on the photo).

Why go to a Zone 7 meeting?

* You, along with fellow students from around the area, can get together to share their experiences as physics students, and as "novice" physicists!
* You can network with peers that could become important professional contacts.
* It gives students an opportunity to present research in a non-threatening environment, perfect preparation for actual presentations to APS or AAPT meetings.
* The meetings give students a chance to compare their physics departments with others' around the area.  You could find out the "scoop" about schools you're considering for graduate school.
*It's fun!

Upcoming meetings
The next Zone 7 meeting will be February 19-20, 2010, at Grove City College.  Planned events include a virtual tour of the GCC robotically-controlled observatory, a grad school expo, physics jeopardy, a research poster contest, and more!
