The Nucleus website will be unavailable Friday evening through Saturday afternoon as electrical work occurs in the American Center of Physics server room. Down time will begin at 6PM Eastern Time on Friday. Service is expected to resume by 6PM on Saturday, July 30.

Why go to a Zone 7 meeting?


* You, along with fellow students from around the area, can get together to share their experiences as physics students, and as "novice" physicists!
* You can network with peers that could become important professional contacts.
* It gives students an opportunity to present research in a non-threatening environment, perfect preparation for actual presentations to APS or AAPT meetings.
* The meetings give students a chance to compare their physics departments with others' around the area.  You could find out the "scoop" about schools you're considering for graduate school.
*It's fun!

Upcoming meetings
The next Zone 7 meeting will be February 19-20, 2010, at Grove City College.  Planned events include a virtual tour of the GCC robotically-controlled observatory, a grad school expo, physics jeopardy, a research poster contest, and more!
