Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons" has a bit of "physics" in it.  It kinda tackles this whole devine intervention topic we've been discussing.  It's a really good read.

If you want a fun read, Classic Feynman is entertaining.  It's a semi-autobiography about Richard Feynman and how he solved some problems, lived in Los Alamos while working in the Manhattan Project and other anecdotes.

Great read and the version I have has a CD of one of the talks he gave in 1975.   It seems like he was quite a character.

The Making of the Atomic Bomb was a really good read.  It covered the humanity of the scientists working on the Manhattan project and the physics behind it all.  Don't be intimidated by its size.  It's great.

First off, I would have to say that I did really like "The Elegant Universe". I always had an interest in Physics (hence reading the book) but after reading that book I decided to take the next step and go to college to become a physicist. Green also has another book which I liked that is called "The Fabric of The Cosmos". My all time favorite book is "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!". The book was dictated by Richard Feynman as he tells stories about his life. The book is hilarious, you get to see Feynman for more than just a Nobel Prize winning physicist.

First of all I must say that "The Elegant Universe" is an amazing book. If you are interested there is a PBS series on it at NOVA's website. Two books I recommend: first, since everyone here loves Feynman, if you haven't read already (which I'm sure you probably have), read "Lectures on Physics"; second, "Mr. Tompkins in Wonderland" is a great book by George Gamow. This one is a good one.
