I've heard of a lot of "Bad Movie Physics" parties over the years, and "The Core" usually tops the list...

On my campus we had fun picking apart some movie (I think it was "Conspiracy Theory: Did We Land on the Moon?") that purported to use physics to "show" that the moon landings weren't real, but it seemed like in every case the attempt to invoke physics was embarrassingly riddled with some of the most common beginner errors.

I recall the 2001, 2010, 2061 Space Odyssey movies, and how much of the dynamics of the rotating and orbiting space stations seemed so impressively realistic to my eye...
