What's Up New England!? - Dec 17, 2008 at 9:13PM

Hey everyone!  Just wondering how your year is going so far and what everyone's plans are for this spring.  I've heard very, very strong rumors of a Zone Meeting in March--it might even be on the SPS calendar.  Anyone going?  I am! Cool speakers, awesome friends, great city == I'm there.

So I was buying a super ridiculous Christmas present for my family, and I realized that I'm actually aligned with the 2009 Theme--A Universe of Wonder--which connects to the International Year of Astronomy!  Does anyone have any telescope experience to talk about or pictures to post?  I bought a Celestron Omni XLT 120--that's a 4.7" refractor with a pretty sturdy equatorial mount--and a 5mm TMB eyepiece to start.  I'm a complete newb, so anyone with advice or experience, please comment.  It's not even for me and I'm still so excited! =)
