Use this thread to discuss why you think the summer sport you chose involves the most physics.  I will give my argument after others have posted.

Now, I realize that some will say swimming because of the fluid dynamics, but they are simply wrong.

While the pictures look nice, the same interaction occurs in beach volleyball in every step with a non-uniform medium.  Because of the non-uniformity of the granules of sand, you still have a structure that will obey some fluid dynamics laws, but in a much more complex way.

Additionally, you have jumping, swinging, and thus all all of the body movements you have in swimming, but you also have a ball and thus the projectile influence etc.

Beach volleyball baby, hands down.

I like beach volleyball best (like Lyle), but it's hard to beat baseball as the most physics-y, especially since whole books are devoted to the topic (see Robert K Adair's, The Physics of Baseball)...and where is basketball? it's got some physics...
