I wanted to put this info somewhere so I'll start here
Here are just a few of the schools that I've heard from that are offering help to Katrina evacuees:
1) Texas A&M U offerees registration for 1000 students,
maryjane@tamu.edu or (979) 845-1064
2) NM State U offers help to 200, mzimmerm@nmsu.edu
3) Eastern Michigan U, physics student help, diane.jacobs@emich.edu
4) Eastern Central U of OK accepts late enrollments, waives some tuition, physics contact kwillims@mac.com
5) U of North Texas, 800/UNT-8211 or 940/565-2681

Does anyone know of others, especially physics specific plans?
Let me know and I'll try to get the word out...
