We currently graduate physics student as teachers through an "Integrated Master of Arts in Teaching" (IMAT). The program is supported currently by an NSF funded Prestige Scholarship (Noyce) program. The program supports several STEM areas. In addition we have a need based scholarship program which also supports STEM majors. We have instituted a Supplemental Instruction program which involves our IMAT pre-service STEM teachers. We also have several other activities both formal and informal, which our STEM. Ours students are active tutors at our dept. learning center.
