We currently have a high school science teacher education program, with emphases possible in physics, chemistry, or biology.  We supervise the physics component in our department, and a science education faculty member housed in biology is the overall supervisor of all three programs.  We  wish to begin better meeting a critical need for more qualified physics teachers in our rural tri-state area (northeast MO, southeast IA, and west central IL) and recruit more teacher education physics majors.
