We are applying for a PhysTEC grant to boost the number of students who graduate with a dual (aka "concurrent") degree in education and physics.  Currently we recruit high school physics teachers to come to our department in the summer to develop curriculum and to participate in research.  Also, we have reinvigorated our Master's in Science Teaching degree program with the collaboration of Professor Tim Slater.
