We have two major initiatives:
1. A collaboration with the graduate school of education on an alternate license path for physics teachers. See www.hamline.edu/education/cgee_site/GradEd/MnSTEP/phase.html
2. A new BA major that is better suited for physics education. We intend to collaborate with the undergraduate education department as this major moves forward.
We are committed to excellence in teaching physics at all levels and have several initiatives to improve K12 teaching of physics. We also have an outreach group called the Piper Physics Patrol that goes to school to do a physics show (it's a requirement of the majors to go at least once).
