The physics and astronomy department at Francis Marion University is currently implementing the fourth year of an Improving Teacher Quality Grant from the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education.  It is called the Middle School  Science Institute.  In addition, we teach a course in Physical Science to all education majors.  We are constantly striving to improve the course content and laboratory experiments to better educate these students.
