| Description: | Seattle Pacific University (SPU) is pleased to be hosting a Modeling workshop this July. This three-week workshop will thoroughly treat the pedagogy and content for the mechanics portion of a physics course. Peer leaders for the workshop are Aaron Debbink of Indiana and Matt Randall of Renton, WA. Both peer leaders are Knowles Science Foundation Teaching Fellows. | Benefit Explanation: | The probable $200 fee barely covers the cost of instructional materials. Credits or clock hours will also be available for a small fee. The SPU Physics Department is currently negotiating with local school districts to provide a stipend to participating districts' teachers for successful completion of the course. |
