| Description: | The Research Experience for Teachers at Notre Dame (RET@ND) is a program of summer research projects for high school teachers of the Michiana region. The projects will be directed by faculty members from the academic departments in the Colleges of Engineering and Science at Notre Dame. Projects vary in duration from 4 to 8 weeks and cover a wide choice of mathematical, scientific, and technological topics related to challenges facing society: * Biotechnology * Computer Science * Environmental Science * Nano Science/Technology * Renewable Energy Participating teachers will be assisted in efforts to create new curricular modules for use in their classrooms. The specific focus of the workshops will be determined in conversation with participating teachers. There will be an RET Symposium where teachers will discuss how their work might impact their classrooms. |
