| Description: | The Embedded Engineering: VIBES for Physics Teachers Institute is an intensive four-day institute designed for physics teachers. Teachers will be trained in two curricular units from the highly successful, research-based Vanderbilt Instruction in Biomedical Engineering for Secondary Science (VIBES) program. The curriculum units utilize the Legacy Cycle framework to incorporate interdisciplinary STEM concepts and standards, while exposing students to basic bioengineering. Teachers in states with embedded engineering standards (such as Tennessee and Massachusetts) will find these units particularly strong at meeting these standards. |
