Our Scientific Reading And Writing Course (STRAW) teaches the specialized communication skills essential for understanding one's research. All write a Research Report and present a Poster to Rockefeller scientists, family and friends. This is designed as a 2-year program. Returning teachers craft Action Plans with the help of Outreach staff that they present at Teacher Breakfast Seminars. Action Plans are awarded up to $2000 for supplies that help teachers translate their research experiences into inquiry-based learning for their students.
