| Description: | The Teachers as Research Associates Program at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) provides an eight-week mentored research experience for teachers of science. Participating teachers are assigned to on-going ORNL research projects where they become part of a team of scientists investigating current issues of national importance. Each participant is assigned a Laboratory staff member who serves as the teacher's scientific mentor. Mentors are carefully chosen from those ORNL staff members who have long-standing reputations for working effectively with teachers. |
