| Description: | This national program places students in paid summer internships. The participants in the program have decided on a teaching career in science, mathematics or technology; students work with scientists or engineers on projects related to Fermilab's research program. They also have the mentorship of a master teacher who is currently working in K-12 education as a teacher and is familiar with Fermilab's research environment. PST is a program offered by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science at ten of its national laboratories. Research opportunities at Fermilab include prairie ecology and particle physics. |
