Our center had a five-day workshop this year from July 28- August 1. Among the highlights were a videoconference with one of our teachers, John Pisanic, from CERN, where he was in the HST program; a talk by Jim Gates on Supersymmetry' and a masterclass exercise. Attending teachers were Sinuhe Gutierrez of Northwest High School, Kevin Martz of Richard Montgomery High School, S. Ryan Casavant of James Hubert Blake High School, Ben Sellers of James Hubert Blake High School, and Cynthia Hollies of Rockville High School. In the coming year, we will participate in a cosmic ray e-Lab workshop in Northern Virginia with the Hampton center and have our own e-Lab workshop later in the fall. We expect to do another workshop in summer 2009 as well. As has been the case for the past four years, I was the primary mentor and organizer, but we had presentations from other members of the faculty, including Drew Baden on LHC, Peter Shawhan on LIGO, and Jordan Goodman on particle astrophysics.
