This interactive homework problem asks the student to determine the collision velocity of two cars given  their initial velocities, separation, and the acceleration of the braking car.Asequence of questions designed to encourage critical thinking and conceptual analysis are included. It is part of a larger collection of interactive problems developed by the Illinois Physics Education Research Group.
