This interactive homework problem asks the student to determine the time of acceleration given the initial and final velocities and the distance traveled. A sequence of questions designed to encourage critical thinking and conceptual analysis is included. It is part of a larger collection of interactive problems developed by the Illinois Physics Education Research Group.
Editor's Note: We like this interactive problem because it will help students understand the relationship between constant acceleration and distance, which is beneficial in processing graphs of Velocity vs. Position. It can also be done independently or as a flipped lesson.
