Spacetime 101 provides basic background covering how mathematical models of space and time have evolved since ancient times, from the Pythagorean Rule to Newtonian mechanics, Special Relativity and General Relativity. It places particular emphasis on the observed properties of light, which were important in reshaping the mathematical models of space and time in Special Relativity. It is written in the language of a non-physicist.
