This page features an animated image and a discussion of momentum conservation. The animation shows a big fish sitting at the left side of the screen while a little fish is moving towards it. The big fish then eats the little fish, but the big fish moves slightly to the left because of momentum conservation. There are quantitative numbers at the top of the animation.
This tutorial is part of The Physics Classroom. This web site also includes interactive tools to help students with concepts and problem solving, worksheets for student assignments, and recommendations for simple introductory laboratories.
