Detail Page

written by the Exploratorium
This web page contains a set of more than 40 simple experiments, or "snacks", on the topic of light.  Exploratorium Science Snacks are miniature versions of popular exhibits at the Exploratorium museum that can easily performed by students in the classroom.  All materials are readily available and inexpensive.  In this section, look for activities on polarized light, pinhole optics, light diffraction, lenses, light scattering, absorption and emission, Moire patterns, and more.

This resource is part of a larger collection of "Snacks" developed under the direction of the Exploratorium Museum in San Francisco.
SEE RELATED ITEMS ON THIS PAGE for a link to the full set of Exploratorium Snacks listed by subject.
