This site is a collection of interactive JAVA applets for use in Physics, Astronomy, and Environmental Science courses. There are also some JAVA based tools that can be helpful for students in making graphs, figures or spreadsheets. Some of the major topics covered in this website are: astrophysics, thermodynamics, and several current environmental issues.

Re: applets don't work anymore
Author: Bruce, ComPADRE Dir Courtney, I was able to run these applets on firefox by adding it to the trusted sites in the java control panel. Java is problematic, but changing these applets to html 5 would take a huge amount of time for the developers.
