This report is a survey of a sample of the elementary and
secondary school teachers who participated in the Schools and Staffing Survey (SASS). It includes both teachers who leave teaching in the year after the SASS data collection and those who continue to teach. The objective of TFS is to provide information about teacher mobility and attrition among elementary and secondary school teachers who teach in grades K–12 in the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
