This applet provides a simulation and ray diagram of a far-sighted eye and a converging lens. The lens of the eye is insufficient for focusing images on the back of the eye for objects close to the eye. The user can adjust the position and the focal length of the converging lens until the rays converge properly at the back of the eye.  An explanation of far-sightedness and  is provided.

This is part of a large collection of Physlet-based (Physics Java Applet) illustrations and tutorials covering introductory physics.
