written by Tom Kirkman
This website contains a detailed development and comparison of a classical and quantum mechanical description of motion in a constant linear potential ("falling"), complete with diagrams. This example is a part of a larger collection of examples in which the classical and quantum mechanical descriptions are compared. Falling - A Constant Force Example:

Covers the Same Topic As Central Force Motion Example: Hydrogen Atom

The quantum and classical mechanical description of motion in a central force is developed in a similar way.
