This press report from the University of Chicago provides information about research on the Chicxulub asteroid. Scientists present new results about the formation of spherules at the Cretaceous-Paleogene boundary in geologic records. This material was produced 65 million years ago in the aftermath of the asteroid impact that triggered the extinction of the dinosaurs.
