This PhysLet displays an animation of three balls thrown into the air.  The simulation shows each of the balls' path and either the magnitude of the velocity or the X or Y velocity component.

Several conceptual questions focusing on the illustrated motion are provided.

This is part of a large collection of Physlet-based (Physics Java Applet) illustrations and tutorials covering introductory physics.
