A ball rolls up another object on a frictionless surface

written by Fu-Kwun Hwang

This EJS model shows a ball that can run up a curved incline. There is no friction between the objects or between the object and the ground. The total momentum in the horizontal direction and the total energy of the system must be conserved. The user can try different initial velocities and masses to see how the motion changes. Graphs of the various velocities and energies involved are shown.

This Model was created using the Easy Java Simulations (Ejs) modeling tool.  It is distributed as a ready-to-run (compiled) Java archive.  Double clicking the ejs_ntnu_ballup.jar file will run the program if a Java runtime is installed.
