The AAPT ComPADRE Collections

ComPADRE creates, hosts, and maintains collections of educational and community resources focused on the needs of specific audiences in Physics and Astronomy Education.

Explore our collections below, and find a resource right for you.

AAPT/ComPADRE is a network of online resource collections and community web sites supporting physics and astronomy education.

Each AAPT/ComPADRE collection contains a catalog of materials for teaching and learning that are selected by the editors for the target user community. The collections also provide information resources and community collaboration tools to support the needs of our users, usually in collaboration with partner physics and astronomy education projects.

Examples of resources and tools available in the AAPT/ComPADRE network include:

  • Simulations, animations, and images illustrating physical systems and processes;
  • Student tutorials, activities, and labs designed to enhance student learning;
  • Results of physics education research that describe best practices in science education;
  • Content support for teachers new to physics, or new to a particular topic in physics;
  • Topical collections of resources organized for teaching standard physics concepts;
  • Physics education conference web sites with abstracts, presentations, and papers.

We welcome you to browse our collections to find resources that will help you:

Your help with improving ComPADRE, through resource submissions, comments or ratings, and feedback, is greatly appreciated.
